Abstract/Summary

This thesis is a descriptive research that employed 10 parent dyads of heinous crime victims to gain information on the effects brought about by the deaths of their children. The respondents were referred by Crusade Against Violence, a non-government organization composed of families of heinous crime victims. In-depth face-to-face interview was used to collect the qualitative data. The findings showed the considerable effects of the loss of their children in the changes in their personal lives, the support they received, and their perception of the Philippine criminal justice system.
