Abstract/Summary

This study aims to design and fabricate a conveyor combiner system, which utilizes fuzzy logic control for industrial bottling processes. Combiners are machines that transform multiple queued bottles into a single bottling line to preposition them for filling. This study uses fuzzy logic to control the motion of the conveyors. The system starts when the bottles are being loaded into the infeed conveyor belts. Several inputs such as volume of bottles entering the system and filler requirement between bottles would then be processed and evaluated through fuzzy logic. The system would then assign the motors (infeed motor, combiner motor, and outfeed motor) respective speeds/frequencies according to the present condition thereby optimizing operation and production flow.
