Abstract/Summary

The main objective of the thesis is to provide a means for undergraduate students especially students taking up the LODSIGN course to familiarize themselves with the basic tools in designing digital circuits and to provide a methods and means in the actual connection of this circuit. The training kit provides a simple editor system to allow users to enter the equation they have in mind. The editor system also incorporates a mouse to enter the circuit they have in mind as to eliminate the problem entering the needed circuit. The basis of the thesis is simplicity. The group tried to accomodate all possible means of inputting the equation as to come up with the desired circuit connection. A major limitation of this software is that it is limited only to small-scale integration (SSI). Addition of analyzing MSI and LSI circuitries to enhance the software into a full-blown one are just some of the recommendation the proponents felt are useful.
