Abstract/Summary

This study is an exposition of some of the results contained in Robert O. Stanton's article The Remarkable Number 648 published in Mathematics Magazine dated February 1993. It discusses propositions and theorems concerning important properties of a certain type of numbers, called LB numbers. Some elementary concepts in Number Theory such as divisibility and prime factorization are discussed. There is a computer program written by the researchers that generate LB numbers within a specific range.
