Abstract/Summary
This study presents a description of two types of generating functions. These are the ordinary and the exponential generating functions. In particular, addition and multiplication of generating functions will be discussed. Moreover, the use of generating functions to evaluate the determinant of two families of infinite matrices will be dealt with.
