Abstract/Summary

The main objective of the study is to present the resocialization process of the youths in the Manila Youth Reception Center (MYRC). This study aims to discuss how the programs and activities of the institution instill changes in these youths. The researchers conducted in-depth interviews with twelve male respondents. Key-informant interviews were also conducted. All of the respondents benefitted from their institutional experience mainly because of the programs and activities conducted by the institution. The respondents expressed satisfaction with the programs and activities given them by the institution, as well as the relationships they were able to establish.
