Abstract/Summary
This thesis presents the main ideas concerning the theory of infinity. It includes the important theorems and a sketch of their detailed proofs. It acquaints the reader to the following ideas fundamental to Mathematics, that is, the intuitive understanding of finite sets does not always apply to infinite sets and that, there are infinitely many infinities. The first three transfinite numbers being aleph null, c. d are discussed in this thesis.
