Abstract/Summary
Premiums that insurance companies impose are greatly dependent on the mortality table. It is in this regard that the importance of mortality tables be emphasized. Actuaries base the premiums on the mortality table. In line with this, a software package was developed that would construct mortality tables through the Seriatim method and the Moving-Weighted-Average (MWA) Graduation method.Initial estimates for the rate of mortality are produced through the Seriatim method. These initial estimates are further revised through the MWA Graduation method to produce a better and more accurate estimate. This revised estimate will be considered as the rate of mortality in the mortality table.
