Abstract/Summary
The antifungal activity of Artemisia vulgaris Linn. (damong maria) and Ageratum conyzoides Linn. (bulak manok) both belonging to Family Asteraceae (Compositae) was studied. Their leaves were extracted and the Paper disc diffusion technique was used for the crude extracts of both plants which were assayed at different concentrations of 25, 50, 75 and 100%. Sabouraud's Dextrose Agar was used as the culture medium and the zone inhibition were measured against three dermatophytic fungi namely, Microsporum gypseum, Trichophyton rubrum and Candida albicans. The results obtained did not show any inhibitory effect on the growth of the fungi.
