Abstract/Summary

This paper is a study of the applications of vector algebra on some track and field events. The concept of addition, subtraction and differentiation of vectors which are discussed have been used to derive essential formulas of mechanics.A software material is produced to show the different vectors present in an athletic event during an instant. This study has a section where concepts of vector algebra which users need for some clarification are needed.
