Abstract/Summary

This study is aimed to analyze and understand the application of dynamic programming in making production planning decision, specifying the determination of a production schedule, apply the dynamic programming model in devising an optimal production schedule for each of the five products of the Standard Electric Manufacturing Corporation (the subject company) and compare the possible results of this study with those of the above-said subject company. The theoretical framework includes dynamic programming in general, elements of dynamic programming model and dynamic programming approach to production schedule program. There is a computer program for the computations.
