Abstract/Summary
This thesis re-presents the poetics of Filipino poet Cirilo F. Bautista. The poetics are inferred from the poet's body of selected Ars poetica poems, specifically Addressed to himself, Study for poetry, The virtue of metaphors Concerning poetry, Charts, and Astronauts. Individual analyses of the poem were focused on fleshing out the poetic techniques and philosophies central to each poem, which were then discussed alongside other poems in selection.
