Abstract/Summary
This study aims to improve the muscles of the patients with Osteoarthritis. A Permanent Magnet Motor is used to drive the device simulating the motion done in a therapy session. The Graphical User Interface (GUI) was created using Visual Studio 2010 Ultimate. The GUI is incorporated with Microsoft Excel for the database of the system where data are stored. The microcontroller used is PIC18F4550 and was programmed through MikroCTM. Serial communication is achieved with the use of a Universal Asynchronous Receiver/Transmitter (UART)
