Abstract/Summary
Fish is most popular due to its good taste and economic value. However, it cannot be avoided that every fish caught in sites, such as Manila Bay, are free of flukes. By using techniques to collect parasites from the intestines of 100 Lutjanus sp. and 100 Epinephelus sp., three trematodes (Paracryptogonimus sp., Bucephalus sp., and Prosorhynchus sp.) were collected. Two round worms were collected in the intestinal mesentries of the two fishes. The samples obtained were fixed in formalin and stained with Borax-Carmine, and later mounted into slides using Canada balsam.
