Abstract/Summary
Automated Ambience Control System using RFID for Occupancy Identification is a system that sets the room ambience according to the users' preferences. The system ensures user's comfort and satisfaction in an office environment, thus increasing their productivity. It also provides a new approach in conserving energy. The system is composed of three main parts: RFID reader and tag, system controller and database. The RFID technology is utilized for occupancy identification. The system controller acts as the brain of the system. It is responsible for activating the sensors, lights and the air-conditioning unit. Lastly, the database is where all necessary information such as RFID number, corresponding password, room number, employee name, light and temperature preference.
