Abstract/Summary
Spirulina platensis was subjected to different levels of heavy metals namely, cadmium, lead and cyanide for 32 days. Pigmentation changes was observed and undulation pattern were noted. All these heavy metals yielded pigmentation changes and morphological changes which was the undulation pattern of the 3 heavy metals used, cadmium treatment showed an observable change on the pigmentation of the cyanobacteria. On the other hand, the lead treatment showed some changes on the undulation pattern of the cyanobacterium.
