Abstract/Summary

This study aims to describe the quality of work life (QWL) of the full-time faculty of De La Salle University according to their own perception. The researchers make use of Royuela, Lopez-Tamayo, and Surinach's model (2008), which presents ten distinct dimensions of QWL: (1) intrinsic job quality, (2) skills, life-long learning and career development, (3) gender quality, (4) diversity and non-discrimination, (5) health and safety at work, (6) flexibility and security, (7) inclusion and access to the labour market, (8) work organisation and work-life balance, (9) social dialogue and worker involvement, and (10) overall work performance.

Primary data is gathered by surveying a sample of full-time professors from De La Salle University, while secondary data is obtained by exploring provisions from the university's Faculty Manual (2008). The discussion of results outlines the key findings of the study according to each dimension of QWL. After presenting the findings of the study, the researchers recommend a specific set of next actions for the administration of the university.
