Abstract/Summary

Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology holds the promise to innovate and further advance tracking technology, and create operational efficiency. Transaction processes are sequences of steps which are empowered by technology and the addition of new technology enables this process to operate in the most effective, efficient manner possible when process requirement implementation are met.

In this academic study, the proponents propose a transaction process management system for the Philippine Land Transportation Office by integrating RFID and database management technologies. System functionality and robustness are addressed as system success indicators. Performance issues and numerical data analysis are presented to demonstrate system capability.
