Abstract/Summary
Microbial analysis was done on mixed salad samples collected from Wendy's salad bar at Taft Avenue. A total of six randomly collected samples were used for the study. The samples were analyzed for the presence of fecal coliform and the presence of coagulase positive Staphylococcus sp.. The results obtained from the experimentation showed that fecal coliform was absent and thus the samples were free from fecal contamination. Coagulase positive Staphylococcus sp. was also absent from the samples. The absence of these common food pathogens show that the salad samples were handled in a hygienic manner and are fit for consumption.
