Abstract/Summary
The limitation of Palm devices hardware is a great obstacle for 3D game development for said platform. Although the situation has slightly changed because of advances in hardware and software, 3D graphic game development still requires the tools that support these developments, which are not present on all Palm devices. This issue in particular became the motivation for the development of this research project. The proponents of this paper chose to focus on the creation of a 3D game Application Programming Interface for Palm to challenge this problem, and aim for the RPG development tool to be logic-centric rather than graphic, and as such avoid the problems associated with hardware disparity.
