A study on intertidal marine crabs was conducted from November 1996 to January 1997. With the use of baby trawlers and gloves, thirteen (13) species belonging to six (6) families and ten (10) genera were collected and identified. Three species, namely, Leptodius exaratus, Zosymus aeneus and Etisus splendidus are poisonous and the rest are considered edible and non-toxic to human. Species suspected of having established themselves in the area are Sesarmops Intermedium, Thalamita prymna and Ocypode cordimana.
