Abstract/Summary

Building a house is one of the most important investments in our lives and coming up with a reliable architectural design is essential. Consequently, architectural design is important to the long-term plans of developers, making cost estimation and material optimization vital considerations. It allows both parties concerned to focus on what they plan to invest into. Through Optimized Cost Estimation of Modern Architectural Design users can tell the estimated cost and optimized result given the design input. The thesis will focus on four major components. These components are - parsing of the DXF file, validation of design, optimization and cost estimate. These components will basically focus on the flooring, walls, and ceiling.
