Abstract/Summary
The Professional Multimedia-Based Storymaker or PaMBata is one type of an authoring tool. PaMBata is capable of creating and editing storybook type of program. It provides the functionality, which facilitate creation of storybook applications by providing the environment of a Slide-Based Window and a Flow Line-Based Window. Rather than using code programming such as in Turbo C++ or Pascal, the PaMBata doesn't require its users to be familiar with programming languages since it can be made by clicking and dragging of objects thus the system allows visual manipulation of the icons and objects.
Moreover, the PaMBata can create an application installer, which the PaMBata designers used for distribution of the stand-alone application. Furthermore, the PaMBata system simplifies and promotes creation of Filipino-Oriented applications. This is brought about by the fact that most objects such as clip arts and background pictures are of Filipino setting. This way, it is easier for professionals to create programs that will cater specifically to Filipino children.
