Abstract/Summary

Everyday, the volume of Internet users is at an ever-increasing rate. Users can range from a beginner to an expert one. With these, somehow we need a good software to be able to surf the net comfortably and efficiently.

The Personalize Web Explorer (PWE) is one of the components of Prototype Internet Library Management System (PrILiMaS). It provides an easy and convenient way of accessing the library whether it be on the Internet or available in a local database. It is accessible on many platforms. It has a feature called SearchEnhancer. The SearchEnhancer, as the name implies, enhances the user's search keywords. In effect, the user's burden, in thinking what word is better to use to narrow down his/her own search domain, will be minimized. Another feature of PWE is the Web Page Analyzer, which rates web pages according to user's preferences. This can help the user in choosing what web sites are more relevant to his/her needs.
