Abstract/Summary

Visual OS is a teaching tool for CPU Scheduling algorithm. This software can simulate one or more CPU scheduling algorithms. Visual OS allows the user to add, delete, and modify jobs in a simulation. The system presents the simulation of multiple CPU scheduling algorithms through an extensible graphical user interface. The system also displays the simulation of CPU scheduling algorithms in an animated manner. The system can present the statistics of a simulation and is able to compare and contrast different scheduling algorithms through the use of these statistics. The system is also able to generate questions concerning the simulation of CPU scheduling algorithms and provide answers to these questions.
