Abstract/Summary
Hazardous waste management in the chemistry laboratories of the College of Science is studied by identifying and classifying the hazardous substances that are being generated by each laboratory subjects offered in the Saint Joseph building during the first trimester of the schoolyear 1996-1997. The physics principle of the Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer which was used to analyze the collected waste samples was also discussed.
A computer program designed to calculate the approximate hazardous chemical wastes generated in the Chemistry Department is developed using Turbo Pascal.
