Abstract/Summary

The Design and Development of Instructional Tools for MACCOMSI is a multimedia presentation properly called as Teachware. It includes the first four Chapters discussed in the course Managerial and Financial Accounting for Computer Science namely: Chapter 1 Accounting as the Language of Business that gives as overview of what a business is, Chapter 2 Recording Changes in Financial Position which discusses lessons from ledger account to balance sheet, Chapter 3 Measuring Business Income that explains Income Statement to After-Closing Trial Balance, and lastly Chapter 4 which is about Adjusting Entries and Worksheet.

The primary user of the Teachware is the teacher and not the students. It is designed to assist or support the teacher in delivering the lessons through the use of multimedia technology. Topics included have been supported by case presentations and demonstrations with the use of proper media elements like text, graphics, animation and sounds to ensure an innovative way of teaching and learning.
