Abstract/Summary
Ever since the eruption of Mt. Pinatubo, in 1991, Pinatubo sand and lahar have brought about adversity to the community directly and the country as well.
This study was conducted to stabilized clay with Pinatubo sand to be used as road sub-base material for rural road construction.
The set objectives were met through testing, by an accredited bureau, and experimentation, done at De La Salle CE Laboratory. Soil sampling of Pinatubo sand came from Porac, Pampanga while clay samples were gathered from Alabang, Muntinlupa.
This study concludes that Pinatubo sand can be utilized to stabilize clay and used as a sub-base coarse for rural road construction.
