Abstract/Summary

University Research Coordination Office- Faculty Research Monitoring System was developed to process and monitor the project information needs of URCO for both internal and external projects. The system consists of different transactions such as information retrieval, storage and maintenance, budget monitoring, and generation of reports and memos. These features help save substantial amount of work in filing, updating and documenting projects as well as in generating reports. It also carries through a productive administration, supervision and monitoring of research projects. Added to this is a more efficient, reliable and technologically advanced data management.

The Proposal and Project Information Modules store the necessary information, which will be used to update research progress, research unit equivalence and project evaluation. It also keeps track of the transactions involved in the maintenance of budget information.

Report and Memo Modules generate reports and memos, which are used by the office for documentation purposes. Reports are used to summarize information about proposals, projects, proponents, and budget. Memos are produced to remind proponents and evaluators of their deadlines for deliverables.

Database backup and security comprises the Maintenance Module."
