Abstract/Summary

The mould equipment drafting process involves long hours of work and piles of paperworks. Designers of San Miguel Packaging Products, a division of San Miguel Corporation, are faced with the problem of spending too much time in drafting the mould equipment drawings. However, the work efficiency of the said process can be greatly improved with the use of a computer-aided design and drafting system.

Related literatures, technical issues, as well as concepts applicable in the design and implementation of CAMED 1.0 are presented. The prototyping methodology, along with its applicability in the development of CAMED 1.0 is discussed. Finally, an explanation of the objectives, scope and limitations, and an overview of the system are given.

CAMED 1.0 (Computer-Aided Mould Equipment Drafting Ver. 1.0) aims to automate the drafting process of mould equipment parts applying the concept of Parametric Programming or Feature-Based Design, then, storing the output drawings in DXF file format."
