Abstract/Summary

An analysis on the drinking water quality of spring water from Pansol, Calamba, Laguna was conducted for six consecutive months, from June to November, 1995. There were eight parameters used in order to analyze the quality of the spring water, whether it is potable and palatable. A total of seven physico-chemical parameters were tested, namely alkalinity, apparent color, hardness, odor, pH value, temperature and total solids. The most probable number of coliforms was also determined. Based on the standards set by the Department of Health (1993), the spring water that was collected and tested was proven to be potable and palatable.
