Abstract/Summary
Sago and gulaman sold along the streets in the 5th district of Manila were analyzed for the presence of fecal coliforms, coagulase (+) Staphylococcus, Salmonella and Shigella sp.Out of the 30 samples collected, 19 samples were positive for fecal coliforms, two of which were also found to be positive for coagulase (+) Staphylococcus sp. One sample was found to be positive for Staphylococcus sp. only. All of the samples were found to be negative for Salmonella sp. and Shigella sp.
