Abstract/Summary
A study on intertidal marine crabs was conducted from June to November 1994 in the vicinity of DLSU Marine Biological Station, Matuod, Lian, Batangas. The mangrove area has sandy, muddy substratum with rocks and dead corals. Collection was done during low tide in the intertidal zone. Fourteen species were identified belonging to 3 families and 7 genera. Seven of the identified species belong to the genus Uca while 9 of the species belong to the family Ocypodidae. 29 of the specimens collected were females.
