Abstract/Summary

Halaga is a short feature film about Niles, a man who has given most of his time to his work and has not spent any minute with his family ever since he moved into the city. One day, he finds out that his sister died from diabetes, while at the same time the company announces that someone was going to be promoted soon. He leaves for the province and brings his work along with him. There he meets Melo, Luisa's husband, and MJ, their daughter. After the burial, NIles receives a box from Melo which contains most of NIles' achievements and a journal that Luisa had kept. NIles realizes that he has missed a lot in his life, and that his sister was always there for him even if they haven't seen or talked to each other in a long time.
