Abstract/Summary
Foto Baryo’s Silent Eyes Project teaches the Deaf High School student of Paaralang Pag-ibig at Pag-asa basic photography through weekly workshops throughout the academic year. It is said that when one loses a sense, his/her other senses are heightened. By teaching and training these 3rd and4th year High School students the art of composing, capturing and producing images, they are also taught to e able to appreciate the world through their other senses, especially the sense of sight, and use these to be able to express themselves in ways which they can’t. By learning photography, the Deaf students develop an eye for seeing all things beautiful in the world.
The documentary will focus on the Silent Eyes Project: its beginnings, goals and activities. The experiences in and journey of the students through the workshop will be shown as well through one main subject and a few supporting.
