Abstract/Summary
Executive Summary. The company chose the name PaperWorks, Incorporated to represent the entire group. This was chosen because of the versatility of the title. This corporation will only operate for ten (10) months, which is the given duration for the practicum program, with eight (8) incorporators consisting the group. The total project cost is P 32,000 for the first two months of operations.
They will be manufacturing Keepsake, a scrapbook with detachable leaves, this is not a common feature of a scrapbook. Its design is elegant, which is silver stamped and slightly embossed. Its decoration consists of a window, moon, and stars. To add glamour to the product, eight (8) shiny corner clips will be added to the edges of Keepsake. It also comes in four (4) different colors: ionized, galvanized, plasma blue, and morphing mauve. Keepsake's elegance is enhanced with its special black paper and white Japanese centennial paper.
For their research instruments, the members made use of stratified sampling. This is because this type of probability is more concise for makes use of proportionate allocation. This consists 1070 population (N), which is narrowed down to 283 people as its sampling size (n). This guided them in determining the potential monthly demand for the product.
The plant location of the company is situated in 120 Malvar Street Ayala Alabang Muntinlupa City. The average capacity will be 82 units and maximum of 112 units, with the product cost of P 165.57 per unit. The company will be able to retrieve its capital in four months having the breakeven point (in units) 54 units per month. The members are also expecting a 100% Return of Investment.
Based on the capacity the demand for a Keepsake, the members are able to foresee that their product will be feasible to its market. Since the monthly potential demand will be 23,378 scrapbooks, which is a lot higher compared to the monthly capacity of Keepsake. This ensures that every unit produced will be sold.
