Abstract/Summary
A study to determine the quality of drinking water from groundwater sources was undertaken in Pulong Buhangin, Sta. Maria, Bulacan, from June to October 1993.Four sampling stations were selected and samples were analyzed in terms of physico-chemical parameters necessary to determine its potability. Results showed that temperature ranged from 25.90-26.90 centigrace salinity, 0.00 0/00 dissolved oxygen, 2.00 - 2.42 mg/L alkalinity, 4.40-4.81 mg/L phosphate, 0.174-0.333 mg/L and nitrate, 1.000-1.194 mg/L. Comparing the above values from existing government standards, it was found out that they are well within the limits and are safe for drinking.
