Abstract/Summary
A study to determine the quality of drinking water from deepwell sources in San Pedro, Laguna was conducted from August to November 1993.Four sampling areas were selected. Samples were collected and analyzed in terms of physico-chemical characteristics to determine the potability and safety of water from deepwell sources for drinking purposes. Results showed that temperature ranges from 26.3-27.15 oC Total Dissolved Solids, 285.75-301.75 mg/1 pH, 6.8075-7.1425 Alkalinity, 282.75-325.5 mg/1 CaC03 Total Hardness, 166.3-190.925 mg/1 CaC03 Calcium, 30.5-42.25 mg/1 Magnesium, 17.845-22.29 mg/1.Results showed that in comparison with the standards set by the government, water samples found in San Pedro, Laguna are well within the maximum permissible limits.
