Abstract/Summary
Although poverty is a plague that continues to loom over the Philippines, these are members of the marginalized sector that have made the decision to alleviate themselves from their current state of life. Emanuelle3Chabo3 Guillermo is one of the few who have made that choice. At a young age, Chabi was given an opportunity to partake in a program that once was thought of to be elitist in nature. He was given the opportunity to partake in a ballet scholarship. Chabi decided to pursue the program and succeed in ballet; and it has transformed his life for the better.
