Abstract/Summary

Advocacy Center Philippines is a non-profit, non-governmental organization that promotes community development through 1) environmental awareness 2) waste management and 3) animal welfare.

For the organization to completely fulfil its mission, the organization needs volunteers that would aid them in accomplishing its programs. However, based on the communication audit conducted by the group, the organization is unable to effectively communicate its advocacy and the integration of the three main programs that lead to community development to its potential volunteers on its Facebook page and website. Because the potential volunteers do not have sufficient knowledge that they need about the organization, they feel discouraged to volunteer. The need for clear and complete information is regarded as one of the crucial factors that affect volunteer motivation.

To address this problem, the group implemented a volunteer recruitment campaign and provided the organization with a volunteer recruitment kit, which also involves a social media management manual, in order for them to sustain the project. The communication campaign consisted of three phases. This includes a reconstruction of the organizations messages on its Facebook page, revamp of its website, production of video, and brochure.
