Abstract/Summary
A study to determine the quality of drinking water from groundwater sources was undertaken in General Trias, Cavite from February to June 1993.Four sampling stations were selected and samples were analyzed in terms of physico-chemical parameters necessary to determine its potability. Results showed that temperature ranged from 29.54-29.82 centigrade salinity, 0.00 9/00 conductivity, 456-498 umhos pH, 6.98 - 7.06 dissolved oxygen, 3.16-5.04 mg/L alkalinity, 0.00406-0.00475 mg/L phosphate, 0.0102-0.1210 mg/L and nitrate, 0.0498-0.6330 mg/L. Comparing the above values from existing government standards, it was found out that they are well within the limits and are safe for drinking.
