Abstract/Summary

Women have been highly under-represented in the political decision-making in the United Kingdom. Thus, this case study touches on the processes of incorporation into the political decision-making of women in the UK. Included in the processes are the recruitment, selection and election. Through these processes, the obstacles that hinder women from entering the Parliament of the UK are revealed. These hindrances cause the under-representation of women in the legislative branch of government. Secondary sources, such as books, journals, reports, interview transcripts, official documents, and some statistics, were used in this research.
