Abstract/Summary
This study proposes to establish an open-area test site (OATS) for electromagnetic interference (EMI) radiated emissions testing as outlined in ANSI C63.7-1992. The OATS will be tested for normalized site attenuation and should pass the standard specified in ANSI C63.4-1992.
The OATS will also test a television receiver set with regard to its electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), according to the standard set by ANSI. By doing so, it is hoped that the OATS shall provide pertinent data that can be used in determining whether the television receiver emits radiated emissions, which causes EMI.
The site will be located inside De La Salle University-Manila, particularly at the Science and Technology Research Center (STRC) Parking Lot, the Marian Quadrangle, and the Sports Plaza. Although ASTEC Custom Power Philippines has established an OATS in Pampanga, this OATS setup is in an urban setting.
