Abstract/Summary
The thesis consisted of a system in which it consisted of sensors, which would detect the presence of fetal heart beat and contractions of the uterus. The output of the sensors are attached to a computer which in turn analyzes the interpreted data received by means of a software and then shows this to the user. The circuits that were implemented makes use of transducers, opto-electronic devices, and amplifiers to sense the biological conditions to be analyzed. The software also utilizes techniques which would allow it to be easily operated by non-technical staff.
