Abstract/Summary

The automated control and monitoring system is created to manage the classroom utilities in DLSC, monitor its power consumption and record the attendance of the professors and students. Through the system, classroom utilities will not be left on during non class hours and professors will not have a hard time checking attendance. This paper aims to discuss parts of the system, the technology behind it and how they were constructed. The procedure on how to use the system and programs will also be explained. Changes implemented in the system will also be discussed to understand how the final set-up came to be. In addition, applications and recommendations were also cited to further improve the system and how other establishments can use it. The results on how the system can decrease the power consumption of the classroom utilities will also be discussed.
