Abstract/Summary
Status: Single Father is a short feature film about the everyday struggles of a single father who deals with his only daughter's adolescence a critical phase in life where a teenager craves for more independence and individuality. This film shows the transformation of both the father, Franco, and his daughter, Frances, into more mature individuals. Adolescent-parent relationship, especially father daughter attachment, is said to wane.
Since Franco single-handedly raised Frances, he tends to still treat her as a child. But with the upcoming prom, as well as the different events in their lives, he slowly learns to adjust to the changes and accept the inevitable: that Frances is indeed growing up.
