Abstract/Summary
Special Olympics Philippines is in need of committed volunteers to assist in their sports activities and trainings. This is due to the lack of awareness of their target audience, students taking up Special Education in universities within Metro Manila, about the organization and its advocacy. In order to address their communication problem, the proponents created a public relations plan and implemented the project in St. Paul University-Manila.
The public relations plan contained different strategies and tactics based on the Behavioral Public Relations Model. The tactics include formal correspondence with university professors, brochures, posters, social media (Facebook and Twitter) and a talk.
