Abstract/Summary

Sisiw is a feature film that revolves around a day in the lives of Dela Lubos family which is composed of Bong, Lourdes, Claudine, and Benok, during the town fiesta. It tackles how this family rely on easy money as their sources of income and how they depend on luck without them thinking about having long term savings for their family. This film shows cockfighting, bingo and palabunutan as the main forms of easy money for the characters of Bong, LOURDES and BENOK respectively. In addition, the concept of joining singing contests is CLAUDINE's main idea of success would also be shown as a reliance on luck. The film wants the audience to understand how relying to easy money effects the smallest unit of the society, the family, and the youth as well.
