Abstract/Summary
Philippine Business for the Environment (PBE) is a non-profit industry organization with 60 forward-thinking member organizations that share a common vision of creating a more sustainable and inclusive business community. PBE is composed of a board of trustees, an advisory council, the PBE secretariat, and a community of member organizations. The PBE secretariat, composed of its executive director and staff, is delegated to planning and executing programs for its member organizations. However, in order to achieve their shared vision of creating a more inclusive business community, member organizations feel that they could share their own inputs in planning and developing programs that are more suited to their respective industry sectors. In line with this, the proponents created a system for consultation and collaboration, which provides a platform for member organizations to consult and be consulted about PBE programs. The system includes a collaborative session which will be executed through a visit by the secretariat to the member organization office, wherein both parties will not only be able to discuss sustainable practices, but will also be provided opportunities for collaborative work. Also included in the system are a Secretariat Guidebook that contains instructions on how the secretariat can effectively conduct the session with precise uniformity and a Member Information Kit, which includes a Members Guidebook containing information on how members can continue collaborative work with the PBE Secretariat and a feedback form to evaluate the effectiveness of the system are also included in the Members Info Kit, which will be given to the member organization after the session.
