This paper is devoted to the study of the character of Tranquilino Penoy in the novel of F. Sionil Jose, Gagamba. Using the theory of Dialogism by Mikhail M. Bakhtin, this study will be able to explore the voice of Tranquilino Penoy in relation to other characters and in relation to the voice of the writer of this paper.
